This event is organised jointly organised by the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao and European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
Green Way 2026 marks the fifth edition of the European Union’s flagship sustainability event in Hong Kong. Over the years, the Green Way has established itself as a leading platform bringing together EU and Hong Kong stakeholders to advance sustainable, decarbonised and innovation-driven economies.
This year’s edition will be jointly opened by The Hon. John K.C. Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, and Ambassador Harvey Rouse, Head of the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao. Additional senior Hong Kong officials will be invited to participate, including the Financial Secretary and key Secretaries overseeing environment, development, transport, and innovation.
Building on its growing success, Green Way 2026 will feature an expanded full-day programme, with a stronger focus on innovation and technologies, and a curated audience of 250 senior stakeholders.
A key highlight of the event will be the presentation of industry-driven recommendations to the Hong Kong Government on accelerating the green transition through innovation and technology. These recommendations will be developed ahead of the event through a dedicated workshop gathering EU and Hong Kong business leaders.
Green Way builds on the shared ambition of the EU and Hong Kong to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, as well as the strong presence of European businesses locally. With over 1,700 companies, the EU represents the largest foreign business community in Hong Kong and plays a key role in supporting its transition towards a sustainable and innovative economy.
