The AI Maturity Assessment
According to our 2025 Business Confidence Survey, 40% of participating companies reported having an AI strategy in place. Yet nearly 60% identified a lack of internal expertise as their primary barrier. Following the publication of the AI Transformation Blueprint in November 2025, one question stood out: “Where does my company actually stand?”
To address this, the GCC AI Working Group has partnered with the HKU Centre for AI, Management and Organization (CAMO) to launch a landmark research initiative: the first structured AI Maturity Assessment for businesses in Hong Kong.
This assessment goes beyond a standard online questionnaire. It is a comprehensive diagnostic tool tailored to the Hong Kong business landscape, developed in collaboration with one of Asia’s leading research institutions. Covering 35 questions across seven key pillars, it offers one of the most in-depth evaluations of AI readiness currently available in the market.
The assessment is open to all companies. However, detailed results and insights are exclusively available to German Chamber members.
Here is exactly what you receive depending on your participation level:
Option A — Open for everyone
Option B — Exclusive to members of the German Chamber
The questionnaire will be available until 30 April 2026 at 6.00 pm HKT or until all places are filled.
Not a GCC member yet?
You can still take the assessment. And if you join the Chamber before the results are published, you will receive the full member benefits, including your personal scorecard and peer benchmark. Contact us to learn more about membership.
We are accepting up to 50 companies for the survey, and only 25 for the full interview and roadmap package. This is to ensure an in-depth and personalised approach for each participating company.
Support throughout the process
You will be supported throughout the entire process. We will host guided online walkthrough sessions to explain the assessment structure and answer your questions live. In addition, a weekly FAQ digest will be published, summarising the most common participant queries so that everyone can benefit from shared insights.
If you have a question, please email us, and we will address it in the next weekly update.
