Hong Kong, 3 November 2025 – The German Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong, today launched the German Chamber AI Blueprint Building AI-Ready Organizations, a comprehensive and practical framework designed to guide member companies through the complexities of Artificial Intelligence adoption. Developed by the Chamber’s AI Working Group (AIWG), the Blueprint provides a structured self-assessment and a proven 7-pillar model to help businesses of all sizes and sectors evaluate their AI readiness, identify opportunities, and implement a responsible and scalable transformation strategy.

Created over 12 months through rigorous collaboration with over 20 industry leaders from manufacturing, trading, logistics, and technology, the Blueprint addresses the critical gap between AI awareness and action. It emphasizes decisive movement on seven interconnected pillars: Data & Infrastructure, Processes & Automation, Technology Stack, People & Culture, Security & Responsible AI, Strategy & Governance, and Products, Services & Innovation.

The launch of the Blueprint and its exclusive self-assessment tool marks only the first phase of the Chamber's commitment. The AI Working Group is already preparing Phase 2 programs for 2026 to provide even deeper support, including:

  • Industry-specific workshops on high-impact AI use cases.
  • Practical training sessions for leaders and operational staff.
  • A Chamber-led matchmaking platform to connect companies with trusted AI solution providers in Hong Kong and Germany.

This initiative reflects our core belief: that German excellence in process and quality, combined with Hong Kong’s agility and innovation, can make this city a global  model for responsible, high-impact AI adoption. The launch of this Blueprint is the foundation. With Phase 2, we will build a vibrant ecosystem that accelerates learning and collaboration.

- Michael Keppe, Co-Chair of the AI Working Group

The German Chamber AI Blueprint is a call to action for business leaders to take personal ownership of their AI journey. It underscores that the fusion of strategic vision, an empowered workforce, and a robust governance framework is key to unlocking sustainable growth and competitiveness in the AI era.

Many organisations talk about AI, but very few provide real, experience-based guidance. Weare not chasing hype; we are creating practical impact. This Blueprint turns complexity into structure and ambition into action. It shows that successful AI transformation is 20% technology and 80% human understanding and leadership.

- Michael Keppe, Co-Chair of the AI Working Group

The Blueprint is unique in its member-driven, non-commercial approach, featuring tangible case studies from Chamber companies that have already achieved measurable results.

Hong Kong’s unique position at the crossroads of global supply chains and digital innovation makes it the ideal testbed for practical AI adoption. Our Blueprint demystifies AI transformation. It’s not just a report; it’s a leadership tool born from the real-world successes and challenges of our member companies.

- Karena Belin, Vice President of the German Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong, and Co-Lead of the AI Working Group
