Promotion of Bavarian products in Hong Kong

Initiatives and projects to promote the market entry of Bavarian products in Hong Kong.

alp Bayern_Eventphoto

Over recent years, various measures have been implemented to support market development, with a focus on promoting Bavarian products in Hong Kong. Following a series of online events with alp Bayern in 2023, a business delegation trip for Bavarian food companies was organised in 2024. Currently, a digital sales channel is being established through the Bavarian Shop on HKTVmall. Looking ahead, an online seminar is planned for 2026 to provide participating companies with in-depth insights into Hong Kong’s market conditions and sales structures.

This page offers an overview of projects aimed at promoting Bavarian products in Hong Kong.

Ongoing projects

Bavarian Shop on HKTV Mall

HKTVmall is one of Hong Kong's largest e-commerce platforms and offers companies the opportunity to position their products with consumers in Hong Kong, thereby testing the local market.

The project is scheduled to run from October 2025 to October 2026. Implementation includes organisational support for participating companies, coordination with local distribution partner Awesome Foods and assistance in setting up the online shop on the platform. The project builds on previous activities carried out as part of the Bavarian Food Industry Tour 2024.

The listed products will be showcased on HKTVmall throughout the project period and supported by targeted marketing and social media activities. The objective is to gain insights into the Hong Kong market and to enable initial steps towards market entry.

Next Steps Hong Kong - Online Seminar

The online seminar “Next Steps Hong Kong” supports Bavarian food companies in strategically advancing their activities in the Hong Kong market. It is aimed both at companies planning their first steps into the market and at those that have already participated in previous projects in Hong Kong.

The seminar provides up-to-date insights into market trends, distribution channels and listing options, as well as approaches to engaging distributors and participating in relevant industry activities. Through a concise overview and practical, experience-based recommendations, the seminar offers companies clear guidance on how to expand their activities in Hong Kong in a targeted manner.

The seminar is expected to take place on 10 June 2026.
