Committees and Working Groups

The GCC Committees and Working Groups serve as the foundation of the chamber's advocacy role, and as effective platforms to facilitate exchange between members of our business community, local industry experts, and institutions.

The backbone of the Chamber’s work

The committees offer Chamber members an exclusive opportunity to discuss current industry-related issues, challenges and development trends. Furthermore, they serve as powerful lobbying platforms for engaging with local decision-makers.

Our Committees and Working Groups

AI

The AI Committee provides a practical platform to make AI accessible, highlight potential applications for businesses, and encourage discussion on the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation.

Sourcing

The GCC Sourcing Committee was established in 2017 and brings together leading representatives from around 25 member companies. Its focus areas include regional developments, the digitalisation of supply chains, diversification trends, and sustainability standards.

Sustainability

The GCC Sustainability Committee connects experts from member companies and focuses on topics such as responsible supply chains, environmentally friendly packaging materials, and the promotion of sustainable business practices in Hong Kong and the region.

Women in Business

The Women in Business Committee promotes networking, mentoring and inclusive leadership, and provides a dedicated platform for professionals across industries.

Mittelstand

The Mittelstand Committee offers family-run small and medium-sized enterprises a platform for discussing economic developments, operational challenges and AI transformation.

Logistics

The Logistics Committee facilitates dialogue between members and key industry stakeholders on new policies, infrastructure developments and Hong Kong’s role as a regional logistics hub.

CFO

The CFO Committee brings together senior executives from finance and controlling departments and provides a platform for discussion on regulatory developments, digital transformation and sustainability trends.

HR Working Group

The HR Working Group provides a platform for discussing current labour market trends, recruitment, employee retention and talent development in Hong Kong. It places particular emphasis on practical insights for German companies and on networking with local educational institutions.
