We are excited to launch another ambitious and forward-thinking initiative: The AI Working Group (AIWG). Co-led by Karena Belin and Michael Keppe, this is not just another discussion group—it is a high-impact initiative aimed at setting new industry standards in AI adoption and workforce transformation.

A Vision Beyond Today: AI Strategy & Blueprint

AI is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and many companies struggle to keep up. Our AI Working Group is building a structured framework to guide businesses in:

  • Assessing AI readiness and defining strategic AI opportunities.
  • Developing a transformation roadmap that connects AI with business efficiency, growth, and competitive advantage.
  • Defining workforce AI upskilling strategies with a structured approach to HR, education, and measurable KPIs.
  • Identifying AI requirements in data, systems, talent, and partnerships.

This Blueprint for AI-Powered Business Transformation has the potential to become an industry-standard methodology, setting the foundation for AI-backed companies.

AI Working Group: A Two-Tiered Approach

Our AI strategy consists of two main pillars:

Internal Focus: Supporting Chamber Committees & Members
  • Development of a practical, structured AI transformation framework for businesses.
  • A strong focus on HR, workforce education, AI literacy, and AI-driven productivity with measurable impact.
  • Direct collaboration with Sourcing, SME, CFO, Logistics, HR, and Sustainability Committees to develop industry-specific AI solutions.
External Focus: Education, Events & Networking
  • Regular monthly AI events, workshops & case studies with real-world applications.
  • A WhatsApp AI Community for continuous learning and networking.
  • Strategic partnerships with industry leaders and academia to position GCC as a leading AI hub in Hong Kong.
Membership & Recruitment Process

We will kick off our first AI Working Group meeting in March with a selected core group, expanding it slowly and strategically over time.

Who can join?
  • Strategic/Commercial Leaders: C-Level, Directors, or senior executives driving AI-empowered business strategy and business transformation.
  • Technical AI/Data Experts: IT, AI, or data specialists with hands-on AI experience focused on implementation and execution.
