Florian Hess is a member of the Executive Board of Spielwarenmesse eG, the organiser of the world's largest trade fair for the games and toy industry in Nuremberg, which takes place this year from 28 January to 1 February. In his role, he is responsible for trade fair organisation and sales, as well as the international network of representatives and the successful World of Toys foreign trade fair programme in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
In an interview with Hannes Farlock, Florian talks about the latest trends and developments in the toy industry, the increasing importance of topics such as sustainability and technology, and the role of Hong Kong as a hub and meeting place for the industry in Asia.
