Stefan Bredohl has headed the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong and Macau since summer 2023. He has more than 20 years of experience in the diplomatic service, including posts in Bogotá, Warsaw and Brussels. From 2005 to 2011, he worked in the Press Division of the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin and was Head of the Division for EU Economic and Financial Policy from 2014 to 2021.
He talks to Hannes Farlock about Hong Kong as a centre of science and innovation, the city's economic and political environment, and opportunities for cooperation between Germany and Hong Kong, particularly in the dual vocational training and cultural sectors.
