The GBS26 Sundowner Event officially welcomed the new cohort of the Dual Vocational Training Programme in Hong Kong. The event was organised by GIC together with its partner, the German Business School, and hosted by the Jebsen Group. It brought together the new trainees, class representatives from the GBS25 cohort, and representatives of the participating training companies.
To open the evening, Dr Annika Bolten-Drutschmann, Alfons Mensdorff-Pouilly, CEO of the Jebsen Group, and Lea Etsebeth, Delegate and Chief Representative of GIC, welcomed the new trainees and wished them every success as they begin their journey in Hong Kong.
Beyond the welcoming remarks, the evening focused primarily on getting to know one another. The GBS26 trainees had the opportunity to connect with their fellow classmates, meet the class representatives of the GBS25 cohort, and have their first conversations with representatives of the training companies. The companies also used the evening to exchange ideas and experiences with one another. For companies newly joining the programme in particular, the event offered a valuable opportunity to connect with experienced programme partners.
The Sundowner therefore marked the beginning of a 22-month training and life experience in Hong Kong. Over the coming months, the trainees will gain valuable practical experience, develop new perspectives, and continue to grow both professionally and personally.
