Celebrating in style! Last Friday, around 200 students, alumni, teachers, representatives from training companies, partners and friends joined us in celebrating 40 years of Dual System Professional Training at the fantastic event space of adidas Hong Kong.

While the programme has evolved significantly since 1984, the simple premise behind it remains the same to this day: German companies in Hong Kong need talents with practical knowledge and skills. We’re proud of the contributions the programme has been making over the years, standing as a great example of collaboration between Germany and Hong Kong, and paving the way for hundreds of successful careers.

Congratulations to our 17 outstanding graduates of 2024 who earned their qualifications as “Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management Assistant”, “Transport and Logistics Management Assistant,” and “Digitalisation Management Assistant”. We wish you all the best for your next endeavours!

The night was filled with so many delightful moments, from the official graduation ceremony and special honours for this year’s top students to reconnecting with many of our previous alumni and long-time supporters of the programme.

A heartfelt thank you to Kaplan Business and Accountancy School and the fantastic training companies that supported this year’s graduates: Covestro (Hong Kong) Ltd., STARTEAM GLOBAL Ltd., Tchibo Merchandising Hong Kong LP, TGI Technology Ltd., CEI Conrad Electronic International (HK) Ltd., DIYtrade Far East Ltd., EUROGROUP FAR EAST Ltd., METRO Sourcing International Ltd., OBI Group Sourcing Hong Kong Ltd., Simba Dickie HK Ltd., Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. (TTI), a. hartrodt Hong Kong Ltd., Forto (HK) Ltd., Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Ltd., Lufthansa Cargo AG, and NVD Asia Logistics Hong Kong Ltd.

Our special thanks to the Hon. Bernard Chan, Undersecretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Stefan Bredohl, Consul General to Hong Kong and Macau, Stefanie Seedig, Deputy Consul General, and Thorsten Rauhut, Director of the German Business Faculty at Kaplan Business and Accountancy School.

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors, who made this special celebration possible: Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Kerry Logistics, DZ BANK AG Hong Kong Branch, Simba Dickie Group, HKMU LiPACE, Gebrüder Weiss Hong Kong Ltd., Böllhoff China Fastenings Co., Ltd., METRO Sourcing International Ltd., Rieckermann Hong Kong, a. hartrodt Hong Kong Ltd., a. Hartrodt Solutions Hong Kong Ltd., and the German Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong (GCC). Many thanks also to adidas for hosting us and to the German Consulate General Hong Kong for co-organising.

Last, but not least, a big thank you also goes to our institutional partner Central Agency for German Schools Abroad (ZfA) as well as our head office DIHK for their continuous support over the past decades.
