At the Annual General Meeting 2023 of the German Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong (GCC), members gathered to review the past business year full of activities and events, and to elect the GCC Board of Directors for the upcoming term 2023-2024.
The GCC AGM 2023 was held at the premises of long-time member and premium partner Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong in Chai Wan.
Karena Belin (WHub), Johannes Hack (DZ BANK AG, Hong Kong Branch), Markus Hasse-Pratje (REWE Far East), Stefan Kracht (Acclime), Bjoern Lindner (Schwarz Asia Pacific Sourcing), Guenther Rittner (TK Elevator Asia Pacific), Claus Schuermann (Deloitte), Alexander Spitzy (Jebsen & Co.), Alexander Steinkuhl (SellerX Asia), and Bing Yan (Lufthansa Group) were re-elected to the Board of Directors, while Michael Keppe (Impala Services) and Eric Reuter (Forto HK) joined the Board as newly elected members. The Board is completed by ex-officio member Hannes Farlock (German Industry and Commerce).
We were especially happy to have former GCC President Eberhard Brodhage, as well as Gabriele Finkbeiner, Vice President of IHK Ulm, in attendance at the AGM, a testament to the continuous support and synergy between our chamber and the IHK-AHK network.
Following the formal AGM proceedings, Stefan Bredohl, German Consul General to Hong Kong and Macao, delivered an insightful speech in which he shared his thoughts on the current dynamics and future prospects of German-Hong Kong relations. The evening was rounded off by an engaging networking session.
GCC would like to thank Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong for generously hosting the AGM 2023 and all members and partners for their outstanding support throughout this special anniversary year. We are looking forward to further promoting the interests of the Hong Kong-German business community through a variety of new activities and events in the coming year.
