The Duesseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce represents the general interest of more than 80.000 member companies from industry, wholesale and retail trade, logistics, finance and services in Duesseldorf and the ten cities of the county of Mettmann towards politics, administration and public. The Chamber is in self-administration responsible for several public tasks (e.g. Dual Vocational Training System, Foreign Trade Documents). In addition, it is a customer-oriented service provider for the regional business community and an independent counsellor in all business affairs (e.g. market information, advanced training, legal affairs, business promotion). Duesseldorf is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany's most important state and is located in the centre of Europe's biggest agglomeration. 50% of the purchasing power and roughly one third of the EU population are located within a circle of 500 km around Düsseldorf. The region is one of the most international in Germany with a special focus on Asia.
