White asparagus – a seasonal delicacy deeply rooted in German culinary culture – was once again celebrated in Hong Kong at the annual German White Asparagus Wine Dinner.
Hosted at Brasserie on the Eighth at Conrad Hong Kong, the event brought together members and guests for an evening dedicated to culinary craftsmanship and exceptional wine pairing. Taking place at the peak of the asparagus season, the dinner featured a carefully curated five-course menu, showcasing the versatility of this prized ingredient through refined, classically inspired dishes.
A highlight of the evening was the exclusive wine pairing from Markus Molitor, one of Germany’s most renowned estates. From vibrant Sekt and precise dry whites to elegant Pinot Noir and a rare Trockenbeerenauslese, each selection reflected the distinctive character of the Mosel region and complemented the menu with balance and depth.
Now in its 13th edition as part of the ongoing collaboration with Conrad Hong Kong, the dinner has become a well-established highlight of the culinary calendar. The elegant setting, combined with a thoughtfully curated culinary and oenological concept, created an atmosphere defined by appreciation, exchange, and shared enjoyment.
This long-standing tradition continues to showcase German gastronomy and wine culture in Hong Kong year after year.
