What a buzz! This year, around 260 members and friends of the business community joined the AHK Open House Day for inspiring content sessions, engagement, and fun.

Special thanks to Stefanie Seedig, Dr King Au, and Raphael Jansa for joining us in celebrating the re-launch of our GermanHub co-working and community space in a fresh new look. If you didn’t have a chance to visit yet, come and be our guest soon!

But our programme had a lot more to offer. We kicked things of per usual with a stand-up meeting at 10 am, introducing our team, engaging with our guests and setting the tone for the interactive day that would follow. Massive kudos to our amazing Gold Sponsors and content partners for making it possible:

In our first session, Ching Ip and Marcus Cheng from Airwallex provided a comprehensive overview of how companies can leverage fintech to make their payment transactions more efficient and less costly.

Following a lively networking lunch, Michael Keppe from Impala Services presented an insightful take on digital transformation – and specifically adoption of AI – as a key driver for more sustainable business practices.

The AI theme was seamlessly continued in our final session by Johannes Görmer and Mark Cosgrove of PROAKTIV, who facilitated a highly stimulating discussion on the importance of human intelligence in the age of artificial intelligence.

A big shout-out also goes to GOVIEW, who showcased their cutting-edge observation technology made in Germany, including the innovative ZOOMR monocular with smartphone compatibility (sidenote: distributors in Hong Kong wanted!).

We also thank our Silver Sponsor Atrellus Business Services for being a big part of our engaging event, Bon Chef HK for the fantastic catering support and NOP (not.only.powder) for being our prize sponsor of the day, as well as the German Consulate General Hong Kong, Goethe-Institut Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for their invaluable support.

Last, but not least, many thanks to everyone who came and engaged with us. It was truly a highlight for our whole team and we cannot wait to see you again at our next events very soon!
