Lufthansa Cargo AG became an autonomous company within the Lufthansa Group in 1994, and is one of the world's leading air cargo carriers in international air traffic. Lufthansa Cargo operates its own fleet of 16 B-777F (5 of them are operated by the joint venture AeroLogic) and 2 A321F (operated by Lufthansa CityLine) aircraft. The company also markets the belly capacities of all passenger aircraft operated by Lufthansa German Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines and SunExpress. The route network encompasses more than 300 destinations in around 100 countries worldwide, which are served by cargo and passenger aircraft as well as by trucking services. Business fields which are not part of the core business and to a special degree require a small and flexible organisational structure have been spinned-off by Lufthansa Cargo in recent years. They include Handling counts (100%), Jettainer (100%), time:matters (100%), heyworld (100%), Aerologic (50%), International Cargo Centre Shenzhen (50%), Airmail Center Frankfurt (40%), Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal (29%), Cargo.one (14.35% nach Kapitalerhöhung Series B), and others. Lufthansa Cargo offers more than daily services between Hong Kong and Frankfurt, including the freighter operation and the belly capacity of the passenger flights operated by Lufthansa German Airlines.
