Lidl Asia Pte Ltd. (Hong Kong Branch) was established in 2006. Although a comparably young sourcing company, Lidl's potential and drive are witnessed by the continued expansion of their business scale. Today, Lidl sources apparel, hard goods and food products from over 13 countries across Asia. Lidl also runs Representative Offices in China and Bangladesh, which are responsible for the production support, quality inspection and social compliance within factories working with Lidl. Lidl constantly works to safeguard their high standard of quality at each stage of production. The first step in doing so is to source and select the most suitable factories for their products. In addition, to ensure that their strict quality standards are always met, Lidl has established Quality Departments with highly experienced employees for all three of their offices, and state-of-the art testing laboratories for both hard goods and textiles in Hong Kong, which are accredited by DAkkS, have also been incorporated as part of this initiative.
