HIW Hamburg Invest GmbH

Promoting business and investment for the City State of Hamburg. Established 1985 as a non-profit organisation in Hamburg by order of the Hamburg Ministry of Economic Affairs, HIW Hamburg Invest GmbH is the official trade-development council of the City State of Hamburg. HIW promotes new businesses and assists international companies before, during and after their establishment to set up offices, factories, warehousing and distribution centres in Hamburg. A one-stop service provides information, consultation and active support at all stages and includes taking care of all government contacts, company registration procedures, purchase or lease of real estate as well as resident and work visas. HIW’s consultancy service is provided in strict confidence and free of charge.
